The challenge

Gavin Jones – The Plantation wanted a new email template that reflected their new brand and forthcoming website redesign. They wanted to tell people about the products and services that they may not be aware of and increase the visits to their shop. The template needed to be used for a large number of purposes and will be used to email both customers and trade lists.

The solution

We identified four distinct sections to include in the email structure:

  1. A flexible header with a large hero image followed by smaller images and text area – this can be used to focus on a particular service, product, tell a story or make an announcement.
  2. The second section is to highlight products around a theme. Buy now buttons can be easily added later once the online shop is live. There’s also a space to provide tips and advice.
  3. We then have a section to encourage visits – focusing on the high-end experience and events.
  4. Finally, the last section promotes a service that visitors may not be aware The Plantation offer.
    The color palette is bold, using green, purple and grey and confidently uses large text and white space.
