PetsPyjamas receive recognition for their creative email marketing strategy at the Engagement and Loyalty Awards at the ceremony which took place on the 19th of May. Organized by FStech and Retail Systems, the awards have been founded to reward innovators and leaders in creating customer engagement and loyalty. Being shortlisted in three categories, PetsPyjamas won the ‘Best Use of Marketing Technology’ award.

The submission for the award was based on their targeted welcome program. Starting from the idea that no two pet owners are the same, PetsPyjamas personalized their messaging with an automated program built using Adestra’s Automation Program Builder. Their approach includes behavioral targeted incentives for purchase, follow-up emails to encourage signup to their loyalty scheme called PetPoints, and product recommendations, followed by breed specific messaging.

Using this approach, PetsPyjamas achieved fantastic engagement and impacted bottom-line results. They increased open rates by 50% and saw a tenfold increase in revenue per email.
