Considering email automation? 56% of retailers say top ROI comes from abandoned baskets

Email marketing is an ideal channel for automation, freeing up time and resources for management and strategic functions – such as planning, optimisation, analytics and data cleansing. Yet only 19% of retailers have an automated abandoned basket recovery system, one of the easiest tools to implement and one which 56% of retailers say gives the highest ROI – shows a sneak preview of new research from the Econsultancy/Adestra Email Marketing Industry Census 2013.

Adestra launch Conversion Capture at Internet Retailing Expo 2013

In response to this, Adestra is showcasing its new Conversion Capture Abandoned Basket technology to make it easier for the 81% of retailers who aren’t currently taking advantage of these lost sale opportunities.  When using Conversion Capture, marketers can identify when a visitor has dropped off a transaction process, and automatically target them with relevant and real-time email campaigns to remind them of the abandonment and encourage action. Timely messages can be configured to be automatically sent within minutes of abandoning, if required.

Importantly, Adestra’s Conversion Capture includes images of shoppers’ abandoned items, using cookie-less technology. This enables extremely persuasive, visual communications designed to re-engage the abandoner: using highly personalised, one-to-one and relevant messages.

So visit the Adestra stand at Internet Retailing Expo to find out full details of Conversion Capture and its email marketing platform, MessageFocus, at stand P13 – over a glass of bubbly!

In addition, Reena Mistry from Adestra is also giving the following presentation on Wednesday 20th March:

*The Econsultancy/Adestra Email Marketing Census 2013 was conducted in Jan-Feb 2013 and the results are from over 1,300 digital marketers – the largest annual survey of its type in the UK.
