Are you a technical problem solver looking to develop your career in software development?
We are looking for two Software Support Developers to join our growing team where you work within an Agile environment to build bespoke client projects and resolve escalated cases at a 3rd line level.
You will work collaboratively with Account Management and Professional Services to analyse client requirements for bespoke development projects. You’ll maintain and develop our existing reports, as well as researching and designing new reports, documenting them accordingly. To support our clients, you’ll also consult them regarding the performance of data integrations, writing or modifying as necessary to make improvements. You will also work alongside the Systems team to help diagnose and manage issues with our platform infrastructure.
A key part of the role will be to operate as a 3rd line escalation point to our Support team, providing clients with technical explanations where necessary to help resolve cases and acting as a mentor to our 1st and 2nd line support teams.
The right person for this role will have experience in working collaboratively, with a willingness and an ability to share best practice and improve processes. You will be a strong problem solver and excellent at managing your time.
You will also have some experience of working with our technical environment, with software development courses or certifications advantageous:
- PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
- MVC Web framework (Catalyst)
- Database ORM system (DBIx::Class)
- Modern Perl Object Oriented system (Moose)
- Templating System (TT)
- Test Driven Development
- Best Practices for Perl development, OO Design Patterns and Database structure
- Unix Command Line
