How to use Google Analytics to find the best time to send emails
I read this interesting blog on how to find the best time to send emails. Although carrying out your own time of day, day of the week testing programme can be fruitful for you, the best place to start can be just looking at the information you already have.
- Have a look in your email platform at the data you already have. It quite likely that you will have sent emails at different times and so use this to formulate your strategy.
- Have a look in your analytics package as this blog post states. Choosing the time when you recieved the most conversions (whether that be sales or number of people reading a full article on your site) can help you to improve your email marketing strategy.

On the 25 May 2011 Adestra will be exhibiting at the Specialist Media Show in Peterborough. Now in its second year this show focuses on the needs of specialist media businesses. The show aims to allow media companies across print, events and digital to learn and swap ideas from each other.
As the official email partner of the Specialist Media Show we’ll be exhibiting and offering advice, best practice and expertise on all aspects of email marketing through our on stand email marketing advice clinics. We’ll be offering those interested a chance to pre book their clinic appointment so watch this space.
In the meantime we’re showcasing our newly launched annual report on the show website. The 2011 Email Marketing Industry Census in conjunction with Econsultancy looks at the amount and type of email marketing carried out by organisations, the way that email marketing is conducted, issues affecting the industry and the effectiveness of email compared to other digital marketing channels.
